I’ve been coming to Hayward Wellness for almost 10 years. I first learned about Food Is Medicine from my doctor. She recommended that I attend this program. I’ve learned a lot, especially about food and exercising my body to lose weight so I can maintain healthy living.
I have two daughters. They’re benefiting from my healthy eating and can see my health improvements and weight loss. And of course I also see it, and it increases my motivation to exercise. We are all motivated to avoid unhealthy food. That’s why I like this program.
It’s helpful for me to do Food Is Medicine groups with other people because we all share knowledge about how to improve ourselves, and also share by direct example—I can tell that there’s an improvement in other people. So I learn a lot for my family, my motivation, myself to eat in the right way.
