Overview

Mission & Vision

Alameda Health System Foundation is committed to advancing health equity in the communities served by Alameda Health System.

We believe that health equity will be achieved when everyone has a fair and just opportunity to be healthy which requires much more than providing access to quality medical care. We believe in breaking down obstacles to health including poverty and racism, lack of access to quality education and housing, well-paying jobs, safe environments, and health care.

In advancing health equity, our ultimate goal is to build generational health and wealth and to improve the overall wellbeing of the communities we serve.

Approach

Raise Awareness

We raise awareness about the health needs in our community and meet those needs by providing support for Alameda Health System initiatives that are culturally attuned, eliminate health disparities, and promote health and well-being.

Raise Money

We raise funds from a range of sources including government grants, fundraising campaigns, and direct donations from public and private donors to financially support the invaluable health services Alameda Health System provides to our community.
