AHS Foundation is proud to launch Sessions @ 55, a speaker series housed at 55 Harrison, Suite 600, Oakland, CA, home of AHS Foundation. The series will bring the community together for an evening of engaging conversation and learning.

On February 22nd, in honor of Black History Month, Sessions @ 55 will kick off with Jahmal Miller, author of the book Equity, Equality, and Justice for All: Born to be an Advocate. Miller served the state of California as the Deputy Director of California’s Department of Public Health’s Office of Health Equity, where he advised on issues related to reducing health and mental health disparities and achieving health equity for all Californians. He’ll share his work and insights in conversation with Kinkini Banerjee, former chair of the Alameda Health System (AHS) Board of Trustees. Following their conversation, a panel of AHS leaders will share their perspective and their work to address health equity.
